ROCS recognises that Children's participation includes the opportunity for them to express their points of view and opinions and thus to influence decisions which may affect their lives. Child participation in schools, community action, media, and governance, gives young people the opportunity to share their views directly participate in decision making processes.

ROCS will actively work with children and youths in schools, conduct community action, media and governance to stimulate their recognition in as far as children’s and youth rights and responsibilities are concerned. This is because children have a unique perspective on all the issues that affect them. Children’s participation experiences can lead to the acquisition of a fresh sensitivity and competence as they grow up to adulthood.
